Fran Levstik is one of the most famous Slovenian writers of the 19th century, and all his literary works exude a connection with nature. Who made the shirt for Videk is the story of a poor boy, the youngest of seven children who always inherits a worn-out shirt. This does not bother him because he likes to spend time in nature helping plants and animals. When the shirt is torn from such a game, Videk is helped as a sign of gratitude by all the beings with whom he became friends in his good nature. The story of Videk is as simple as a picture book for the youngest age, but it talks about important topics relevant to every age. Videk teaches us how a sympathetic relationship with the environment returns a hundredfold, and in the rhyming dramatization of Nikola Šimić, the whole of nature comes to life, which makes Videk's shirt an ideal template for puppet animation.
