Archived: Little Red Riding Hood

One of the most famous fairy tales, the story of a cheerful, playful girl who did not separate from her red cap after which she got her name, reached us from ancient times, and the form in which we know her today was given to her by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm. There are no witches and fairies in this play, but there are a handful of unusual and unreal events that open up worlds of imagination: animals speak, forests show dangerous faces, mushrooms dance, fireflies illuminate impossible spaces, and Grandma and Little Red Riding Hood will be rescued from the wolf's belly. This cheerful, otherwise obedient girl will fall for the trick of the sweet-spoken Wolf and turn the wrong way, but only because she is a curious, playful, quick-witted child. What kind of children they should be. Therefore, we all understand her wishes, fears, expectations very well and each of us recognizes ourselves in them, which is the main charm of this story and ZKL's play.
