about

45th Samobor Music Autumn

Before us is the 45th edition of the Festival, which this fall is turning Samobor into the capital of music. Everything that belongs to the history of this Festival came from the consistently implemented idea of open exchange of creative thoughts of artists. This free language of reciprocity, as evidenced by the continuity of the Festival, is a consequence of the turn towards complete artistic freedom of expression.

2020 is the year in which the world celebrates the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven, one of the greatest composers of music history. And we join the celebration of this great anniversary with a series of his compositions in the Festival program.

Unfortunately, 2020 also brought some negative surprises and ruined everyone’s plans; the global epidemic has changed cultural sector flows around the world, festivals, conferences and exhibitions across cinemas have been canceled or postponed, cinemas, theaters and museums have been closed, and international artist exchanges have been kept to a minimum due to movement restrictions. Therefore, in creating the program of this year's festival, we turned more intensively to our own environment and hired the best local musicians in order to ensure that the festival takes place in these conditions as much as possible.

Tickets for the concerts of the 45th Samobor Music Autumn can be purchased at ulaznice.hr

All information about tickets and the festival program is available on the official website of the Samobor Festival .

The organizer of the Samobor Music Autumn is the Public Open University Samobor, and the sponsors are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, Zagreb County, the City of Samobor and the Croatian Society of Composers. We remind you that the Samobor Music Autumn is the holder of the EFFE label, through the project EFFE – Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe, initiated by the European Festival Association.
