Zagreb Burger Festival from 2 to 13 September on Strossmayer Square
They smelled of fish and meat, they were also made into veggie gyro, they changed colors from red to green, they were designed by the best burger Chefs from Zagreb, Pula, Fažana, Split, Dubrovnik and Ljubljana. During the four years, visitors to the Zagreb Burger Festival had the opportunity to try several hundred burgers, and the tradition continues this year. Zagreb Burger Festival celebrates the fifth birthday of the Festival from September 2 to 13 at the already well-known Zagreb address – Strossmayer Square, where visitors are expected to bite into one or more juicy combinations and pamper their taste buds.
Reduced number of cottages
Due to this year’s specific situation, the number of catering houses was reduced to 14, with three food trucks: Jamnica Gemišt & Nacho truck, Staropramen Food Truck by RougeMarin and Hug & Punch Coffe truck (27 last year). In order to provide visitors, in accordance with epidemiological measures, the distance MBM Iris will decorate the site with numerous plants and thus create green oases.
Zagreb Burger Festival brings 11 days of good food and music
What’s new on the burger scene, what ingredients can be combined and why the burger is the unquestionable king of street food will be revealed by visitors to an eleven-day dynamic gastronomic event, enhanced by great musical rhythms and beats. The musical overture and final bars (the first and last day of the festival) will be performed by Ozren Kanceljak, and various Croatian DJs will take turns at the mix desk every day. Seventeen restaurants will be able to enjoy a diverse offer of burgers and unusual french fries by excellent caterers Mate Janković, Ivan Pažanin, Mario Mihelj, Marko Palfi, Goran Nišević and Marin Medak, as well as cocktail masters Marin Nekić and Adrian Nejašmić.
Learn to dance line dance and salsa
Lovers of sweet flavors will be delighted by Robert Hromalić’s desserts, and Staropramen beer, late summer cocktails and gins go well with salty-sweet flavors. We have also prepared a dance surprise: a favorite Frenchman from Zagreb, Nicolas Quesnoit and the coaches of the Zagreb Dance Center by Nicolas will turn Strossmayer Square into a dance floor and teach you the basic dance steps of popular line dance or salsa.
The festival will be open Mon, Tue, Wed and Thu from 12 to 23 h, Friday and Saturday from 11 to 24 h, and Sunday from 11 to 23 h. Admission to the festival is free! See you!
