The 13th edition of the circus street festival will start soon

The thirteenth edition of the circus street festival in Samobor will be held on Matice Hrvatske Square, around the Samobor cinema and on King Tomislav Square, from May 16-19, 2024 .

Cu'fus is an international circus art festival that has been held in Samobor since 2011. The organizational team consists of circus artists and lovers of circus art. The festival program includes Circus Collage, Festival Opening, Experimental Friday, Cu'fusek, circus street performances, circus skills workshops, music program, presentations, exhibitors and microtheatre.

CirkoKolaž, a circus cabaret for children, will welcome you at Trg Matice Hrvatske, on Thursday, May 16, at 11 a.m. , as the first program of the festival. In case of bad weather, the CirkoKolaž program will be held in Samoborski Cinema.

The opening of the festival (May 17, Friday) will begin at 19:30 at King Tomislav Square, in the form of a parade with short performances on the way to Matice Hrvatske Square. The theme of this year's opening is CIRKOSAFARI, in which the artists performing at the festival will participate. The parade is directed by Mario Kovač.

The music program includes musicians and experimental artists. The program will take place on King Tomislav Square on Saturday, May 18. from 21:30 with a musical performance by the great SKIER & YETI.

Artists performing at the festival come from Germany, Austria, Poland, Serbia and Croatia.

In addition to the above, for children, expect the Cu'fusek program in the morning on Saturdays and Sundays. It is about plays, performances, music and play. Circus skills workshops are held on Saturday and Sunday from 14:00 to 17:00 around Kina Samobor . Circus skills workshops include unicycle riding, aerial skills, POI,… In addition to guided workshops, there are also hula hoop props for free use during the festival.

The ChilliBar program will be located across from Kina Samobor, on the banks of the Gradna. The dance takes place from 2 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Microtheatre – The Smallest Puppet Theater and Circus Luminenszesz participate in the program in the form of small tents with a limited number of audiences and short entertainment programs. You can visit them during the weekend around Kino Samobor.

The festival program is free, with a "mandatory" donation in the hat.
