10 days of rich program awaits you at the 5th Strudel Fest throughout Karlovac County

StrudelFest rightly bears the title of the sweetest domestic festival , but everything gets even sweeter when we tell you that this year it lasts as long as ten days. Everything starts on Friday, September 4, in the Ozalj Ethno Park, with the opening of the exhibition "Culinary and Ethnography", but the next day the real "strudel" starts, more precisely a rich program that will delight all those who are in Jaškovo – strudel village, but also in numerous other locations throughout Karlovac County.

The biggest StrudelFest is starting, and you will find flavors you have never tasted before

This year's unique StrudelFest has events throughout Karlovac County with the main host Jaškov – strudel village. As many as 28 restaurants are participating in the Karlovac County Strudel Week, and all of them have prepared promotional prices, but also dozens of more interesting flavors.

So this year you can expect apple strudel with beer, hunting strudel with Ogulin cabbage, strudel with garlic and parsley, lamb strudel, strudel from Ozalj court, Baškovo bacon, carrot strudel, but also the one that is "to blame for everything" – strudel record holder with apples and grapes.

This year, numerous museums have joined ŠtrudlaFest. In the Ozalj Homeland Museum, every visitor will receive a free strudel for all 10 days of the event with the purchased ticket. The same action awaits visitors to the Old Town of Dubovac on September 5th and 6th, and on Saturday, September 5th, visitors to the Karlovac City Museum and Barać's Caves in Rakovica. For Saturday, September 12, Aquatika is preparing an interesting workshop for making unique gingerbread souvenirs in the shape of fish and hearts with the occasional sale of strudel. On "Karlovac Saturday" on September 12. restaurant Lovački rog will show the secrets of making their strudel "Lovački rog".

Ozalj will certainly be the center of cultural events, but with the smell of strudel in the air. In addition to the exhibition that will be set up in the Ethno Park, visitors will also receive a free strudel. On Sunday, September 6, you will be able to participate in a unique gastronomic musical treat "Štrudlazz" – with Drago Jakovčević and DJ jazz quartet and selected strudels and wines. Saturday, September 12 in the Ethno Park you will learn more about cooking in the Middle Ages at an interesting gastronomic workshop.

StrudelFest In Jaškovo – the village of strudels, numerous workshops on the topic of strudels await you

Of course, Jaškovo, as a strudel village, will welcome you with delicious strudels for all ten days, but there are also a number of events that will make ŠtrudlaFest interesting this weekend and weekend.

The strudel village thus offers a picnic every day with the offer of Štrudloljubac, Štrudlomanijak and Karlovac picnic baskets. You can visit Jaškovo by bike all days, and on weekends the sweetest cycling route in the world will be organized and guided – "Strudel by bike", which will reveal the most beautiful parts of untouched nature along the magical river Dobra. At the end of the same route, you will be able to taste the strudels of the Kovač family farm and the Žganjer restaurant without remorse.

There are also art workshops "Art Appetite" that will unleash your creativity in an idyllic rural setting with unexpected flavors of strudel, and you will be able to paint your unique strudel plate at a ceramics workshop on September 5th.

Guests in Jaškovo can expect special entertainment on weekends, and there are also strudel workshops that will be led by strudel ambassadors from Jaškovo and reveal the secrets of making the perfect dough. You can also discover everything about the strudel that entered the record book, and a special decoration of this sweet village is an additional attraction – a giant straw bicycle made on the second day of the festival by a dear guest of StrudelFest, academic sculptor Nikola Faller.
