The aim of studies at the Faculty of Graphic Arts is to acquire, develop and transfer knowledge, in order to educate students, scientists and experts for active involvement in new trends in the development of graphic technology and design.

At the Faculty of Graphic Arts, the study according to the "Bologna Process" is based on the three-level concept of higher education:

1. Undergraduate university study of graphic technology lasting six semesters (180 ects), upon completion of which the title of Bachelor of Science (baccalaureus / baccalaurea) is obtained.

Undergraduate study is divided into two areas:

technical – technological – students are educated for professional and creative work in the economy and appropriate institutions. They will acquire knowledge, abilities and skills that will enable them to use different methods to identify and solve potential and real problems in the field of graphic engineering and graphic communications design of graphic products – the course enables students to solve design problems related to different types of graphic products. They will acquire knowledge, abilities and skills that will enable them to approach every communication problem with the help of various design methods.

2. Graduate university study of graphic technology lasting four semesters (120 ects), upon completion of which the title of Master of Graphic Engineering is obtained.

At the graduate study it is possible to choose between two directions:

technical and technological

The graduate study of graphic technology enables students for professional and creative upgrading, scientific development and independent work in all domains of graphic production. Accordingly, students are trained to lead and manage any printing system, from the smallest to medium-sized and largest, and to economize and manage quality within these systems. In the technical-technological direction, it is necessary to choose one of the five modules: graphic technology, multimedia, publishing, packaging and graphic management.

graphic product design

Students are educated to work on the design and engineering of graphic products, to work on the development of communication criteria for graphic design and to test and optimize graphic materials.

3. Postgraduate doctoral study of graphic engineering and graphic product design can be enrolled upon completion of undergraduate and graduate university studies.
