Beer tasting for true beer lovers

It is estimated that it will be possible to taste more than 80 different types of beer

In the City of Zagreb, as well as in the surrounding area, there is almost no home brewer, beer judge, beer taster or beer drinker who does not remember the legendary Croatian homebrew championships, first in the ingenious Magic Beer Room, after which the tradition continued with equal success in Zmajska, where this year and returns, on the first Saturday in June in the richest edition so far!

The 11th Croatian Homebrew Championship will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in the premises of the Zmajska pivovara , organized by the association "Pivari Grada Zagreba".

The ticket for the festival on the occasion of the Croatian homebrew championship costs €20 in advance, after which it will cost €25. The price includes a tasting glass and a bracelet that enables unlimited consumption of all beers offered at the festival , and it is estimated that more than 80 different types of beer will be available to taste.

Food at the festival will be taken care of by BBQ Hot Yard, who, in addition to loving hot food and, by God, beer, are also very good at grilling (food is not included in the ticket price). In addition, Dr. Pigley will give all visitors a bag of crackers, which can then be purchased at promotional prices.

The highlight of the festival, which brewers, competitors and judges can't wait for, but also all other visitors, due to the exhibition tone and tense atmosphere, is the awarding of the Croatian homebrew championship and the announcement of the Best of Show (BOS) beer. During which some of the biggest names in Croatian, regional and European brewing will take the stage. Until then, the accompanying program will include a DJ performance and beer games such as a beer drinking competition or a beer quiz organized by Šankatak.
