This week begins the Little Picnic – here’s why you shouldn’t miss it

Enjoy a picnic oasis in the Upper Town every Friday until the end of August

One of the most charming and favorite summer events in Zagreb – the Small Picnic – is coming to Gornji grad this August as well. In cooperation with the Zagreb Tourist Board, it will once again turn Vranicani Poljana into a place of happy meetings, local treats, blankets with a view of the city, relaxed conversations by candlelight, barefoot lying on the grass and wonderful community moments. So book (at least) one Friday in August to enjoy this small picnic oasis, take a break from the city heat and refresh yourself with local flavors from the summer menu of Mali Plac, the famous mobile market of local products, whose family farms are in charge of different gastro-experience.

A small picnic turns Vranicani's field into a relaxed place with local delicacies

Whether you like to chill alone, go out on an unusual romantic date or share a blanket and have a snack with friends, family members or four-legged pets… don't miss the Little Picnic. This year's first blankets with a view of the city are waiting for you on Vranicanijeva poljana (Bela IV. Park), on Friday, August 7, from 5 pm to 11 pm , after which the Small Picnic continues every Friday until the end of the month.

Admission is free, and all you need to bring with you is a good mood!
