The new film season begins on the Tuškanac Summer Stage – enjoy the most beautiful open-air cinema!
Zagreb's summer evenings are once again reserved for going out to the most beautiful city cinema under the open sky, which this year brings a number of attractive titles on its film menu. During the three sunny months, the Tuškanac Summer Stage will become an unavoidable place for film and culture lovers. The summer film nights begin in June with a series of guest film, music and other cultural programs that represent a cross-section of the Zagreb festival scene, and will end with the August program.
The summer stage is traditionally opened by the World Festival of Animated Film Animafest Zagreb, which will announce its autumn edition from 5 to 7 June.
In June, they will present their programs on stage:
International Folklore Festival (Ethnographic Documentary, June 9 and 10) Cultural Information Center (concert-multimedia event "Summer Cinema Europe", June 12, 13 and 29) Festival of Tolerance (June 19) and European Film Review (June 20 – 26)
July brings new editions of the Fantastic Zagreb Film Festival, which will bring a handful of interesting titles to fans of SF, science fiction and horror, and the selection from its programs will be presented by the Zagreb Film Festival, Motovun Film Festival and Film Programs of the Croatian Film Association.
August brings a new film program, “Film in the Woods”. It is a cross-section of recent and current film hits, with special guest appearances of the Kinoteka cinema program, in which we will have the opportunity to discover classic titles in the peace of the Tuscan forest, under the stars. Whether you’re a fan of action, drama, humor or art, you’ll find a movie for yourself in the woods.

The program opens with an animated film by Milorad Krstić Ruben Brandt, collector (Grand Prix for feature film, Animafest 2019) about a famous psychotherapist who is forced to steal 13 paintings from world famous museums and private collections to stop the nightmares he suffers from due to subliminal messages. received in childhood.
