CELEBRATING WORLD TOURISM DAY

Every year on September 27, under the auspices of the UNWTO (World Tourism Organization), World Tourism Day is celebrated around the world. The date of the commemoration was chosen according to the day when the UNWTO Statute was adopted in 1970, which represents a kind of turning point in the history of tourism. This year's commemoration comes at the most difficult time for tourism at the global level, and the UNWTO wants to emphasize its importance as a leading economic pillar for recovery through the theme "Tourism and Rural Development".

Free LADO Electro concert in the Music Pavilion in Zrinjevac

The Zagreb Tourist Board will symbolically mark the World Tourism Day with an emphasis on this topic, combining tradition and contemporary culture with the LADO Electro concert. The LADO Electro project began in 2003 with the collaboration of Lado soloist Boris Harfman with the already established musician Hrvoje Crnić Boxer. In combining traditional and electronic music, the authors were inspired by the songs of the LADO repertoire, as well as traditional tunes that Lado artists had not encountered before, but sang in their own way. The powerful vocals of the singers, as well as the sound of traditional instruments, sound magnificent in modern club electronic expression and have managed to combine the extremely rich indigenous musical heritage and folk art of this area with electronics.

The LADO Electro concert will be held on Sunday, September 27, in the Music Pavilion in Zrinjevac, starting at 19:30, and in case of unfavorable weather conditions, it will be postponed for another date, which we will inform about later.

With this concert, TZGZ congratulates the tourism industry on World Tourism Day, regardless of the difficult circumstances in which it is celebrated. The concert is free, and we ask all visitors to behave responsibly and maintain social distance. The transfer will be enabled on the Facebook page of the Tourist Board and 24 hours .
