IAMDDB AT THE CULTURE FACTORY British rapper and singer IAMDDB is coming to Zagreb's Tvornica kulture as part of a European tour

Real name Diana De Brito, IAMDDB combines timeless jazz and soul influenced by Nat King Cole and Erykah Badu, mixed with modern trap and R’n’B. Through a fusion of different genres, she has created her own, which she calls urban jazz, and is often considered one of the most creative artists in the UK.

Born in Lisbon, this daughter of an Angolan musician moved to Manchester as a child, a city known for its Brit-pop, but its influences include a variety of multicultural influences, Afro-jazz and Bob Marley. Although she has been writing since the age of seven, her debut single “Leaned Out” was released only in 2016. In the same year, her debut EP Waeveybby, Vol. 1 ”, followed by Vibe, Vol. 2. ”

2017 was marked by the first hit, the infectious single “Shade”, which went viral in the UK with millions of views on online platforms. Mixtapes “Hoodrich, Vol. 3 ”,“ Flightmode, Vol. 4 ”and“ Swervvvvv.5 ”continued to build hype around IAMDDB over the next two years. It all culminated with her inclusion in the BBC's Best Sound Awards 2018 when she was named one of the young hopes of the music scene, and the following year she was on Forbes' list of the most influential young Europeans.

IAMDDB conquered Europe and the world at lightning speed, performing from Glastonbury, through Sziget to EXIT. Her harmonious voice ready for improvisation fits perfectly with rap instrumentals, and the young, talented and confident musician is often considered the embodiment of a new generation of performers. He describes himself as a trap and jazz child, and the results of these influences are, for example, the hits "Shade", "Drippy" and "Kurr £ ncy".
