Archived: Christmas at Zimogroznih

The Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra has prepared a special concert performance Christmas at Zimogrozni for its youngest audience at this most anticipated time of the year.

Winter and Terrible are characters who don't like all those exaggerated decorations, lamps, kitschy stands, sausages and germ dumplings. On the other hand, there are father and daughter who, since they have been left alone, do not know how to lead a family life, how to behave, and at Christmas time of communion it is somehow especially difficult.

Little girl Maria writes a letter to an unknown friend and begs for Christmas to be the way it was before, when mom was there. By a play of circumstances, the letter ends with the thief of letters – Grozny, and that's where the icy plot begins. Winter, who collects postage stamps and makes them a work of art – a wall of unfulfilled wishes – opens the last letter of Mary and peels off the last stamp, which clings tightly to the envelope and does not allow it to be pasted on the wall. Winter and Grozny, after reading her letter, realize that the girl has no spoiled desire like most, but only wants Dad to snatch the pizza like her mom did and decorate the Christmas tree like she used to, reminisce about her childhood and pamper. They decide to help her and embark on a Christmas rescue adventure.

Christmas at Zimogroznih performances is intended for the age group of 4 to 11 years .

Entry is possible only upon presentation of a valid EU digital COVID certificate (in electronic or paper form) and according to the instructions from the Decision of the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia of 12 November 2021 (Article VII).

Rapid antigen testing at a price of 50 kn can be done on the day of the show from 8 am to 9:30 am in Lisinski.
