A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS IN THE SWAMP CLUB

American noise rock trio A Place To Bury Strangers will perform at the Swamp Club on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

Often called the loudest band in New York, APTBS is known for its live performances, and creates its music on the tri-border of shoegaze, space and psychedelic rock. The trio led by Oliver Ackermann is returning to Zagreb in a new line-up consisting of bassist John Fedowitz and drummer Sandra Fedowitz, members of the Ceremony East Coast. Oliver and John are also childhood friends, and together they played in the legendary underground shoegaze band Skyware. All this shows that we are watching the best version of the band A Place To Bury Strangers so far, and together they mark a new phase and a return to the crudest ideas, and a chaotic and apocalyptic incarnation.

The new line-up is accompanied by the announcement of the EP "Hologram", which was written and recorded in isolation, and Ackermann himself also produced it. The material will be released on June 16 for his new label Dedstrange, and it is about the band’s return to raw, unpredictable and intimate sound. The first single "End of the Night" was chosen as the first single.

APTBS drew influence from bands like Jesus And Mary Chain and built a name with a powerful, devastating wall of sound sound, and fantastic gig which is why they shared the stage with names like Nine Inch Nails and MGMT. From the very beginning, when their debut album at Pitchfork was classified as the best new music, the group managed to establish itself as one of the most exciting new bands in the last ten years.

APTBS is returning to Zagreb, and they are coming to the Močvara club on Trnjanski nasip in a new chapter and with a new album on the set list. A big European tour through March and April takes them to Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Macedonia, Serbia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark, while the only performance in Croatia is on March 24.

Tickets priced at 90 kn will be on sale from Thursday, April 22 from 10:00. On the day of the concert, you will need to pay 110 kn for the entrance. Tickets are available at all Entria points of sale and online .
