Summer at MSU is one of the central cultural and artistic events during the summer months in Zagreb, both for the citizens of Zagreb and for guests and tourists. The program presents a cross-section of current artistic events, as well as the latest artistic discoveries on the multidisciplinary art scene of Zagreb, Croatia, the region and the world.

In 2023, this event will be held for the 10th anniversary, in 5 sessions from June 16 to July 14, 2023.

Statistics Summer at MSU, during the past 10 years, fascinates and includes 164 programs – 52 concerts, 51 film screenings, 36 performances, 15 large exhibitions, 12 literary forums, foreign theater performances. And more than 40 thousand visitors.

Summer at MSU is traditionally held in June and July in the afternoon and evening hours. The main event of the evening is traditionally the concerts of the best bands in the region. The line up of concerts for this year includes groups and performers: Rundek and EKIPA, Pankrti, Pavel, MORT and Damir Avdić.

Summer at MSU is not only concerts

In addition to concerts, as part of Summer at MSU, the museum brings many other contents – in cooperation with the Metropolis cinema, there are screenings of the best European art films of the season in the MSU Gorgona hall, and the performance of dance groups as part of the Anti-Season dance cycle. This year's film program includes titles: Mooanage Daydream, Tár, Ennio, Triangle of Sorrow. The dance program includes the plays Sol, We were not here, Object of dance and Treptaj tišine.

Also, every night of the program, the ticket allows free entry to the new large exhibition Budućnosti, which presents top Croatian and international contemporary artists.

Through a combination of music, exhibitions, film and dance, the Summer at MSU program strives to approach the concept of Gesamtkunstwerk, a complete artistic experience that results from the collaboration of various forms of art and pop culture and bringing them closer to a wider audience.
