As pets, cats have long been given the status of family members, and some, depending on their pedigree, often travel the world with their owners and lead a real "sweet life". Motivated by the great interest of cat fans, the Felis Croatia Cat Lovers Club in cooperation with the TZ of the city of Karlovac, the City of Karlovac and Zora's home this year organizes the WCF World Cat Show at the Economic and Tourism School on September 23 and 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. , Kurelčeva 2 in Karlovac . After seven International Exhibitions, this is the first WCF World Competition for the enthusiastic Felis Croatia team.

Visitors will see as many as 17 cat world champions and 4 world premieres . There will also be less commonly seen breeds, such as Kuril Bobtail, Transylvanian Cat, Bombay Cat, Munchin, Cornish Rex and many others. Under the watchful eye of ten international judges, the best ones will be selected, along with an attractive program and plenty of content for visitors. As part of the aforementioned exhibition, on Friday, September 22 at 8 p.m., a seminar is organized by one of the leading geneticists in the cat world , Leslie A. Lyons, on the topic: Extremes in breeding, at a price of €35 for all judges, breeders and other interested parties. persons, regardless of which Association they belong to.

An integral part of the exhibition is an invitation to adoption

In addition to working with purebred cats, the Felis Croatia Association also supports the care and treatment of abandoned cats. That is why at the exhibition in Karlovac you will be able to visit the stand of the Kitten Safe House association, which takes care of and adopts hundreds of cats and kittens every year. In addition to the stand and collection of donations for the Association, the same will exhibit kittens that were once abandoned, but are now taken care of, and will compete with some of them. Visitors will be able to talk to breeders and other cat experts to learn more about their behavior, care and habits.

In addition to the cats, which are the main stars of this exhibition, an attractive program has also been prepared for visitors: the selection of the most beautiful kitten, the most beautiful neuter and the most beautiful adult cat . Those who are thinking about adopting an abandoned cat will be able to talk to representatives of the Association for the Protection of Cats and download prepared brochures with advice on choosing a breeder, breed or adopting a kitten, as well as on proper nutrition and care of small furry ones.

The most interesting part of the exhibition is certainly the Best in Show, where the winners are chosen from among the most beautiful cats of the exhibition, starting at 4:30 p.m. on both days.

Visitors will also have a veterinary consultation, sales of toys and equipment for cats , as well as a special attraction. The multi-awarded and well-known photographer Gordana Popović from the Pet Almighty Photography agency, who recently won three awards for cat photos, will set up a photo studio, so this is an opportunity to capture memories and a photo with your four-legged pet. Entrance to the exhibition is paid, €2 for children and €4 for adults, and tickets can be purchased at the entrance to the hall.
