After being postponed in March due to an unfavorable epidemiological situation, ZagrebDox will be held on a new date and at a new location, so fans of documentaries will still have the opportunity to watch about fifty film titles selected for this year’s festival edition.

ZagrebDox will be held from October 4 to 11

This year’s special edition of ZagrebDox will be held from October 4 to 11 at the SC Cinema and the & TD Theater of the Student Center in Zagreb. After being postponed in March due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation just before the opening, the most important domestic documentary film festival will be held on a reduced scale and in compliance with all epidemiological measures in a new time and location, so documentary fans will still have the opportunity to see fifty film titles this year’s festival edition. Kino SC, the largest cinema in Zagreb in terms of the number of seats, was chosen as the new location because it enables the largest number of spectators to watch the films, with maximum adherence to epidemiological measures.

Fifty titles in four categories

The central part of the program will be, as before, a competition program divided into categories of international and regional competition, where carefully selected titles will provide viewers with an insight into recent production and current authorial preoccupations, bringing a series of achievements that explore various contemporary topics and phenomena. introduce intriguing personal stories and vivid individuals. The accompanying Best of the Rest film program will screen about twenty selected films from this year’s official programs; Among other things, a retrospective program dedicated to the award-winning British Oscar-nominated director Lucy Walker will be shown, who will also give an online masterclass lecture as part of the ZagrebDox Pro program.
