The Weekend Food Festival will take place from April 14 to 16
The festival, which last year placed Croatia on the map of the most important gastronomic events in Europe, will be held again this year, with an even richer program, from April 14 to 16 in Rovinj . During the three days of the tastiest festival in April, visitors will enjoy numerous lectures and panel discussions related to food, drinks, gastronomy, hospitality and the food industry. Like last year, some of the world's best chefs are arriving in Rovinj, which the Weekend Food Festival places alongside the world's best gourmet festivals.
Dabiz Munoz , the best chef in the world for two years in a row, will come to Rovinj again, who will show visitors live how his imaginative and avant-garde creations are made, which brought his restaurant DIVERXO to three Michelin stars. The famous trio of chefs is also arriving: Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casañas from the Spanish restaurant Disfrutar, and Simon Rogan , chef of the L'Enclume restaurant and initiator of the farm-to-table movement. From Copenhagen's JORDNÆR we have Eric Vildgaard with his incredible life story, and from Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura, chefs Karime Lopez and Takahiko 'Taka' Kondo . Along with the chefs, Rovinj will also be visited by some of the biggest names in the world cocktail scene.

We are adding another big name to the list of chefs who are coming, who will certainly fill every free place in the hall, because the best pizza in the world will be made in front of everyone by one of the most famous pizzaiolo in the world – Franco Pepe . It is about the pizza master that we are currently watching in the recently released Netflix series Chef's Table: Pizza, and all visitors to the Weekend Food Festival will be able to get to know the secrets of his craft.
On the big showcooking stage throughout the festival, local and international chefs will share their knowledge, and in addition, they will introduce us to somewhat unknown cuisines, such as the Israeli one, which will be presented by the young chef Yehi Zino.
Through numerous masterclasses , visitors will be able to participate in olive oil and wine tasting, bread making and other workshops . Applications and schedule of workshops will be published soon.
The whole story will be rounded off by numerous exhibitors of wines from different parts of Croatia, who will present themselves together with producers of top domestic distillates, craft beers and alcoholic beverages. In the expo part of the festival, which will be open from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon, exhibitors from the world of coffee, olive oil, cheese and truffles will present themselves. After lectures and panels, discussions and tastings, the evening will continue with the best combination of music and food.
The first edition of the Weekend Food Festival, held in May last year, put Croatia and Rovinj on the map of the most influential European gourmet events, gathering more than 2,500 visitors in one place. That's why the Weekend Food Festival is a place to gather, socialize, create connections and network, in a relaxed atmosphere, with great food and even better entertainment.
