The most festive student film festival
Its second edition will be held from September 19 to 21 at five locations in Zagreb
The Playbox Production student association organizes the most festive film festival for young people, Playbox Shorts, this year as well. The grand opening of the student short film festival will be held on September 19 at the SC cinema starting at 6:30 p.m. where visitors will be greeted by a glamorous red carpet and a welcome drink accompanied by the musical accompaniment of the young performer Marko Bošnjak.
The official part of the program consists of the premiere of two short feature films "Funcut" and "Mak" and the first episode of the series "Ship in a Bottle" produced by Playbox.
A large number of famous faces are expected at the festival, and they have already confirmed their arrival: Arija Rizvić, Sandra Lončarić, Vid Ćosić, Slavica Knežević, Petra Kurtela, Dora Dimić Rakar, Enio Meštrović, Goran Grgić, Nataša Dangubić, Jadranka Đokić, Ana-Marija Percaić, Domagoj Mrkonjić, Anđela Fržop, Janko Popović Volarić, Dubravka Ostojić, Lana Barić, Roko Sikavica, Ivor Šiber, Franko Jakovčević and many others. Two regional stars of the MAX series "I know how you breathe" have also confirmed their arrival, Lazar Dragojević and Dino Bajrović, who will receive special recognition at the opening ceremony for their contribution to the young film scene.
After the screenings, the organizers also announced a big concert at Tvornica kulture where members of the fourth season of the music show The Voice Croatia will perform on the first night of the festival: Luka Novokmet, Jakov Peruško Rihtar, Sergej Božić, Duška Brčić-Šušak, Natali Radovčić and Fran Uccellini.
The other two days of the festival bring 15 short films from around the world that will be shown at Kaptol Boutique Cinestar Cinemas. Before the screening of the films, the morning program "Brunch Talk With The Stars" will be held in the premises of Wespa Spaces, during which the stars of the series "I Know How You Breathe" will share their experience of filming for such a large production.
In addition, the Croatian Tourist Board will also hold a panel on the filming of large productions in the area of Lijepa naše. At the very end of the second day of the festival, Daleka obala will perform in Tvornica , and the festive closing ceremony of the festival and awarding, as well as the closing of the summer season, will take place on September 21 with summer house hits outdoors.
