What awaits us at the Fairy Tale Festival
The June part will last from June 7 to 9, and the September part from September 6 to 8.
The 19th Ogulin Festival is one of the most significant cultural and tourist events and one of the largest festivals for children and youth in Croatia. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić, one of the greatest Croatian writers, born in Ogulin, which is why the greatest emphasis will be on her work.
The Ogulin fairy tale festival consists of two parts: June and September. The June part will last from June 7 to 9, and the September part from September 6 to 8 . At the opening itself, on June 7 at 9 p.m. , the theater play Regoč in honor of Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić will be shown, and the next day, June 8, at 9 p.m., the animated feature film Strange Adventures of Hlapić's Apprentice will be broadcast. The new artistic director of the Ogulin fairy tale festival is Paško Vukasović, a theater and film actor, who has behind him several similar projects such as: Boom of possibilities!, reKREIRAJmo and Island of reading.
The 19th Ogulin fairy tale festival will look different than in previous years, and Vukasović shared only a small part of what visitors can expect:
"This year's program is structured so that every day is the same and yet completely different. We have many different workshops, from art and drama to sports and interdisciplinary, which are held every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Theater performances are every day at 6:30 p.m., and storytelling from 3:30 p.m., while the Littlest for the Littlest program, where children perform a play for children, is every day at 12 p.m. An element of the Something New program is also a fairy tale quiz with hunter Dean Kotig. The Expect the Unexpected element is shrouded in secrecy, and the main event, as well as the opening of the festival, takes place on the main stage of Regoč from 9 p.m.
A detailed schedule of events at the 19th Ogulin fairy tale festival will follow soon.
