More about installations
The symbolic start of this year's "Okolo" art tour is marked by the "Big Lady" with a red balloon in the Skyscraper Pass , by the Slovenian artist Nina Koželj, whose work is recognizable by its clear, concrete (often humorous) sculptural bodies. After you greet her monumental sculpture, you step into the other extreme – the one where miniatures play the main role.
In the same passage, find the glass cabinet in which Samsofy, the famous French miniaturist, created the first of his seven colorful and cheerful microcosms from LEGO minifigures, which can't wait for you to discover them on the streets of Zagreb.
Nina Koželj's second work, the interactive installation "The State of Innocence" , found its place in the Oktogon passage, where, at the exit to Cvjetni trg, two giant flowers have sprouted – if you look at one of them, you will see a person looking back at you under the other. of the second, and the remaining creative miniature worlds of Samsofy will surprise and delight you in Preradovićeva Street no. 5 (French Institute), Masarykova street no. 13 (Nicolas Concept Store), Varšavska street near house no. 17 and 20, Frankopanska street no. 13 and at the beginning of Klaićeva Street (Kiosk of the Museum of the City of Zagreb).
Also, during the first five days, if you walk along Ilica towards Črnomerac or jump into the 11 or 6 and drive to house number 227, you will have the opportunity to see Artez at work every day, the famous street art artist from Belgrade whose style is defined as mixing photorealism with illustration. The new mural he performs for "Okolo" is part of his "Simple Acrobatics" series, in which he deals with the idea of using the human figure as a building element in the composition.
