Zoo

The Zagreb Zoo was founded in 1925 and is located in the over 200-year-old Maksimir Park. It spreads over 7 hectares, of which 5.5 is the mainland. It is home to over 350 species of animals and more than 7800 individuals from all continents.

The zoo participates in numerous projects and programs dealing with the research and protection of endangered species, and during the year you can participate in more than 30 educational programs and events. It is therefore a favorite place to relax and have fun.

It is possible to see many species of animals – mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates, from almost all continents.
