They have been with you for 110 years. Fairs have been woven into the heart of Zagreb and the Zagreb Fair since 1909.
From the first day of business, the Zagreb Fair has taken on the role of ambassador of the economy, connecting the City of Zagreb and Croatia with the world. In 1925, he started and founded, with nine other fair cities, the International Union of Fairs – UFI, today the umbrella world fair organization.
Fairs have always connected people and are the foundation of direct communication and networking. With a portfolio of 20 own fair projects and more than 100 events throughout the year, the Zagreb Fair promotes and contributes to the competitiveness and development of the economy, entrepreneurship and crafts of the Republic of Croatia, as well as interaction between different sectors of local, national and global industries.
Over time, the fair activity has gone through several phases of change, adapting to market trends and customer needs. Thanks to the unique key competence of the fair industry, which is based on activating all five senses at once, today it coexists in synergy with digital technological evolution and its possibilities that connect us to unimaginable levels. And despite various attempts, the key feature of face-to-face fairs remains the unimaginable and essential ability of fairs, and new technologies have added value to existing content, business support and one of the levers in gaining competitiveness.
In these 110 years, the Zagreb Fair has undergone many changes, writing its own and the history of many Croatian companies that today operate sovereignly in the global market, and made their first steps at the Zagreb Fair. Therefore, 2019 is a significant milestone for the overall business of the Zagreb Fair.
After a successful transformation, we plan to grow and provide you with more. More recently, we have changed the business model with an emphasis on the synergy of the quintuplex helix innovation model and the collaboration of institutions, business and entrepreneurship, science, media and society as a whole, all in order to provide an innovative product of integrated marketing communication aimed at supporting added value for each of our exhibitors , partners and visitors.
In accordance with the strategy of internationalization, we are expanding our business to the international level, while we are basing our growth strategy on a strategic alliance, digital business and the construction of a new, modern and polyvalent fair and congress center with all accompanying facilities.
They have always been part of the identity of the City of Zagreb. They are now working to realize their vision to become the leading organizer of business and communication excellence and innovation in Southeast Europe.
