The Living Christmas nativity scene came to life

Performances are held three times a day in a total of 11 times

For more than twenty years , the Cenacolo community has been organizing a real Christmas attraction in the very center of the city: a live Christmas nativity scene, designed and performed by themselves, with the help of families and a few children, who are always very close to this show.

For this year, the performers said the following: "It is with great pleasure and great gratitude that we announce the presence of the Cenacolo Community at this Advent as well. Due to the adversities that Zagreb experienced in 2020, we were forced to look for a replacement location, which, thanks to the great understanding and support of the city services, we found in Opatovina Park, on the playground of Miroslava Krleža Elementary School .

We hope that this year we will successfully convey at least part of the beauty and fullness that we live in the Cenacolo Community, focused on working on ourselves, getting out of our comfort zone and serving others.

Performances are held three times a day; at 16.00, 17.00. and 19.00 . on the following dates: December 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 29, 30 and January 1 and 6, 2023.

The scenography, costumes (with the help of our long-time friends from the "Trešnja" theater), dances and the entire show were designed and performed by the youth from the Cenacolo Community themselves, with the help of their parents and a few children, who are particularly close to the show, as we could see past years. The very fact that we have been present in the center of Zagreb during the holidays for twenty years now confirms to us that the residents of the city of Zagreb and their guests recognize and support the effort we put into staging our play.
