Expect plenty of interactive workshops, lectures, Olympiads and musical performances that will last seven days

Art, dance and sustainability are only part of the 6th edition of the Welcome Spring Festival, which opens the festival season in Zagreb on Monday, April 29. This year's festival brings plenty of interactive workshops, interesting lectures, Olympiads and musical performances that will last seven days, until May 5, on the meadow between Hrvatske bratska zajedna street and Vukovarska street (near the Route 66 club).

At the opening, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the celebration of World Dance Day in dynamic dance workshops, and throughout the week enjoy the performances of colorful bands: Klapanx, Neki Novi Klinci Trio and Balašević's laganice, Kaira Kela and Commi Balde, the energetic Terminator and the fierce The Plagiators.

On Tuesday, 30.4. everyone is welcome to the super fun Little Olympics of Waste with celebrities from 4 p.m. A team of the bravest, Marina Orsag, Neda Parmać, and Marko Braić, will arrive at the competition, who will test their strength against the young people on whom the future rests. Come support them and see how they did.

In addition to musical pleasures, the festival offers a rich program of educational workshops and lectures on the topics of recycling, reuse, art and sustainability. From Krapin's primitive man to renewable energy sources or why the bicycle is the most ecological means of transport, you will hear all this on the festival's spring meadow, and you can test your virtue, speed and knowledge at the Olympics. There will also be plenty of creative and performances for the youngest, and there will be talks about climate change and the mental health of young people.

Holidays and birthdays are celebrated

What you must not miss is the May Day festival with home-made beans for all the neighbors (to reduce waste, bring your own plates and utensils for the festive table), which is prepared by the organizers of the association Priroda za sve. Free portions for the fastest 100 are served from 1 p.m. In charge of the musical part are the incredible Soulectors collective, Lana G and Pacho, who will bring smiles and dance steps with a soulful vibe, as well as BRONZ – one man band, called The Voice, who will spice up the May Day festival with their vocal capabilities and take you through various musical styles.

A special surprise, scheduled for Friday, May 3 from 6 p.m., is the WSF stand-up comedy with which our most famous comedian Marina Orsag celebrates 19 years of career . Her energy and spirit will ensure plenty of laughter, fun and certainly an unforgettable experience for all present.

Art as the fourth component of sustainable development has its own role, so on the weekend of May 4th and 5th, Art Bazzar is waiting for you, which will provide an opportunity for local artists to tickle the imagination of visitors with their creativity.

Certainly, so that your taste buds are not left out, there is also a bar with plenty of fresh cocktails, beer and various other drinks, and hungry eyes will be taken care of by the team at the Langosh bar, where you will be able to taste Langoše in all its varieties to blow your mind as when Nadalina is beating eggs.
