A double birthday is being celebrated – the museum's 40th and the art's 140th!

On the feast of the Assumption, in 1883, Ivan Meštrović was born. His passion for sculpting created eternal masterpieces that are witnesses of our culture. This fall, we will mark the 140th anniversary of the birth of this great artist with a memorable exhibition.

From November 2023 to March 2024, a large retrospective exhibition dedicated to Ivan Meštrović will open in the Klovićevi dvori gallery. It will be set up on three floors, which will conclude the celebration of 40 years of existence of this legendary oasis of art in Zagreb.
