Final decision: Špancirfest canceled

The happiest street festival that closes the summer in Croatia every year, after great efforts, has been postponed for next year

Although we were looking forward to having a reason to visit Varaždin in another spanking adventure this year, the worst predictions came true.

Due to the worsening of the epidemiological situation and the uncertainty it brings, and in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Culture and the Croatian Institute of Public Health, this year's 22nd edition of Špancirfest in Varaždin is being canceled.

Since it is impossible to implement the measures prescribed by the CNIPH at Špancirfest, due to the specifics of the festival and its content, and since the CNIPH also recommended that Špancirfest not be held, the only possible decision, no matter how difficult it was, was to cancel this year's edition. festival.

"In recent months, we have planned, adjusted plans, changed the concept of the festival, harmonized it with changing measures, but the safety of visitors, guests and our fellow citizens is our number one priority and we must remain responsible and follow the recommendations of health experts and epidemiologists." said from the Varaždin Tourist Board.

We will mark this year's Špancirfest by remembering the best festival moments of the past years with attractive videos that we will publish in the period when we were supposed to spank, from August 21 to 30 on the Špancirfest Facebook page, and we have prepared numerous surprise prizes.
