Karlovac Beer Days 2023 – here's what awaits you

The 36th Beer Days bring as many as 17 concerts on two stages and several DJ sets to the center of Karlovac. There is also a diverse gastronomic offer with top quality beer and numerous entertainment facilities for visitors

Great music, many beers and a variety of food in the city of meetings. This is how Karlovac Beer Days can be described in the shortest terms, the longest-running festival in Croatia and the region dedicated to beer. Every year, Days of Beer brings something new, but also something well-known, which is why many visitors return again and again, while new ones discover the charms of this Festival under the centuries-old trees of the Karlovac Promenade.

The rich and varied music program on the main stage again this year brings something for all tastes: from Steam Roller with a familiar sound and a new singer, through the rhymes of the Dalmatian rapper Grša and the energetic Psihomodo Pop to the good old rock of General Danger. Those who like softer notes will find their way with Dalmatino and Nina Badrić. The days of beer will last from August 25 to 29.

Beer specialties and a diverse range of beers

Everything for a real festival atmosphere will be offered at the central area of the Beer Day, first of all a rich offer of beer, beer dishes and big pretzels, which this year will be complemented by INA's Fresh Corner with its well-known offer. In addition to the always first and unmissable Karlovačko, the offer will also include many other beers from the portfolio of the HEINEKEN company and craft beers from Medvedgrad and Podrum breweries.

In order to make Beer Days a permanent memory, a beer photo corner will be set up at the Music Pavilion, and original souvenirs from Aquatika – freshwater aquarium Karlovac and the Karlovac souvenir shop will be provided for memories, and by purchasing souvenirs from the Strong Like Jakov Association, visitors will help the humanitarian work of this recognized Associations.

Gastro corner and World of beer: a festival within a festival

Just a hundred meters from the main stage, there will be a Gastro corner with a restaurant under a tent with 300 seats and a rich offer of beer specialties, as well as the "World of Beer" where, in addition to Karlovac, visitors will be able to try 14 other beer brands, including Lagunitas IPA, Sol, Krušovice Imperial and other world famous beer brands. On the stage in the Gastro corner, the program will start at 5 p.m., and over the course of five days, the Strings band, Black&White and Rivers band with a pop-rock repertoire, the only Croatian Mariachi – Los Caballeros, and Brown Sugar with a funk and soul repertoire will perform.

Beer workshops and open doors of the Karlovac Brewery

Beer workshops by Karlovačko on the history and production of beer and beer styles will be held in the Gastro corner, which will be held by HEINEKEN Hrvatska sales trainer Damir Fluka, and workshops on preparing food with beer led by the famous gastro influencer Saša Vukić, better known as Sasha's kitchen.

For all those who want to see how Karlovac beer is made, on Friday 25.8. the Open Day of the Brewery will be held. The tour starts in front of the entrance to the Brewery, the brewery, fermentation and filtration plants and the bottling plant are visited. The group tour starts every hour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and prior registration is not required.
