29 attractions await you at 24 locations
Organized by the Zagreb Tourist Board (TZGZ) and partners and with the support of the City of Zagreb, from March 20 to 24 , the Zagreb Light Festival will take place in the Croatian capital for the sixth time. Thus, all visitors, during five days, will be able to visit a total of 29 attractions in 24 locations that will announce the arrival of warmer and longer days and reconnect us with the city in a unique way.
The Zagreb Light Festival, which TZGZ has been organizing since 2017, is more than just an event – it is an opportunity to explore new parts of the city that are included in this year's program, as well as to connect with other cities and countries. Namely, the Festival nurtures an international character, so we have collaborated with artists from Austria, France, Germany, Slovakia and Spain, and happy Croatian guests from Pula and Šibenik.
Additionally, this year's Festival not only brings the magic of light installations, but also sends a strong message about the importance of nature conservation and sustainability. Namely, through cooperation with WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), Adria pays special attention to nature protection, as well as our responsibility towards the environment and future generations. The Zagreb Light Festival will thus join the global Earth Hour event on Saturday, March 23, at 8:30 p.m. In all festival locations, the lights will go out for 15 minutes.
The opening program in collaboration with WWF Adria, Austrian, French and German artists and with 3D mapping is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, at 19:00 at the location that is being premiered – Marko Marulić Square . As in previous years, the Festival will be open from 18:00 to 23:00 , and entry to all programs is free.
