#divanfiling is to know that we will be partying this August!
Although the EXIT festival recently announced that it will not be held in its standard format and term this year, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic yesterday asked the organizers not to cancel the festival, but to recommend the Crisis Staff postponement for August, given the drastic improvement of the health situation in Serbia. , but also the whole region and most European countries:
"We made a recommendation to move EXIT to August because we expect that then the situation will be completely peaceful in the whole of Europe," the Prime Minister of Serbia told reporters, adding that the recommendation was to move the festival, not cancel it.
The EXIT team welcomed the opportunity to hold not only the EXIT festival in August, but also other events in Serbia, and that the recommendation of the epidemiologist is good news for everyone, especially for the most affected sectors of tourism and events. The EXIT team notes that they are ready to change the format of the festival: "If necessary, we are ready to drastically reduce the capacity of the festival, as well as limit visitors to local and regional audiences" said the organizers and appealed to organize a meeting to define all details and answer open-ended questions.
This shocking news, which is spreading rapidly on the European festival scene, was also commented on by regional experts in the event industry at last night's panel on the fate of events.
"This is great news, but also expected, bearing in mind that the epidemic in most European countries is passing rapidly. "Serbia made a very smart move by being the first to publish this kind of news, because young people will be the first to travel and countries that recognize it will recover tourism faster than others," says Pavle Kostadinović from the Slovenian travel agency Supratravel.
Adnan Mehmedović, a renowned Croatian promoter and co-founder of the Fresh Island Festival in Zrće, agrees with him. "This is spectacular news not only for the region, but for the entire world event and festival industry, whose recovery will start with Exit. I hope that Croatia and other countries of the region will recognize the opportunity to recover as soon as possible the festival tourism by which we are recognized around the world. "
