Idiot Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky

Director: Vasily Senjin

In one of the third-class carriages, two passengers found themselves opposite each other at dawn: both young men, both with almost no luggage, both dressed casually, both with rather interesting physiognomies, and finally, both with a desire to strike up a conversation… One of them he was of small stature, twenty-seven years old, bushy and almost black-haired, gray, small, but fiery eyes… He was warmly dressed in a spacious black coat, and did not shiver at night, but his neighbor had to bear on his trembling back the sweetness of a damp Russian night in November, for which, obviously, he was not ready… The owner of the cloak was a young man, also some twenty-six years old, growing slightly above average, very light thick hair, swollen cheeks and light, pointed light beards… is the famous novel The Idiot by Dostoevsky, in which we meet two protagonists, Rogozhin and Leo Mishkin, who will intertwine their destinies in one of the best works from the pen of the great Russian book evnika.

Curiosity, love, rivalry, sacrifice, suffering, indecision, countless small and big accidents, are just some of the components of this exciting novel that will be premiered on the stage of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, directed by Vasilije Senjin.
