We bring you the program of the Dog Festival

It takes place this weekend, October 7 and 8

Dr. Franje Tuđman Square, on October 7 and 8, will host the Festival of Dogs of All Breeds and become an oasis for all dogs, their owners and those who want to become dogs, and given the announced two-day program, other "dog lovers" will surely and the youngest ones, come to their own.

Saturday mornings are reserved for a series of trainings that will greatly help dog owners. Under the names Traveling with a dog and Hot days, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Maja Črnjević Diklić, ZOOCITY will reveal a lot of good tricks and tips for these two topics that dog owners often think about. And while the very important topic of the role of assistance dogs in life with disabilities will be discussed on stage, a great Paws&Crafts workshop will take place in the children's corner, followed by the "Catch me if you can" competition for dogs on the main training ground. All competitions are accompanied by valuable prizes from the exhibitors, and applications are made on the spot.

Afternoon hours are again reserved for education and workshops – this time on how to properly comb a dog, train your pet and what is the role of a responsible owner as the key message of the entire festival, which will be explained by the Šapica association. The Club for the Training of Service and Sport Dogs Zagreb will reveal what all the canine disciplines are, and two more activities are expected at the training ground at the same time – a competition for dogs "Resist the challenge" and tricks with trainers "Show what you know", rally obedience and a nosework workshop on which welcomes all questions, doubts and problems with training that dog owners have to deal with. After the performance of the Kikići children's choir at 4 p.m., from 5 to 8 p.m., all visitors will be able to enjoy the DJ program "Woofstock rave".

What will we do on Sunday?

On Sunday, two more dog competitions are scheduled. At the central training ground of the event, all interested dog owners will be able to register their dogs for "Resist the challenge" or "Overcome all obstacles", while at the same place, from 3 to 8 p.m., a great trainer's training is again scheduled.

On the second day of the festival, the lecturers will cover a number of topics – from shedding, healthy eating and dealing with puppies to osteoarthritis. Given that the Festival of Dogs of All Breeds has a very important message and goal, which is the adoption of animals, Friends of Animals will reveal all preventive measures of animal abandonment, and the Merida Association will open the topic of the importance of adoption. What will especially attract all dog owners are the Uniko pet shop zones where nail cutting, shedding, grooming are offered free of charge, and the food corner will have dogs with their own tasting buffet. The Kids corner will delight the youngest again on Sunday – with facepainting and a performance by the children's choir Bajka, while adults looking for fun will be treated to the DJ program "Pawty Animals".

Filip Lipnik's Art of Bar will present its signature cocktails and drinks. In cooperation with the Tito's Vodka brand, three cocktails will be offered at a promotional price of 5 euros, and 1 euro from each will be donated to the Bestie Foundation from Split. In addition, t-shirts and canvas bags will be available, with a unique design, created in collaboration with the Croatian designer Ana Maria Ricov, and all the money collected from the sale will also be donated, which is not surprising, because this vodka brand has been actively helping animal protection associations for 25 years. around the world.

The popular Munchy gastro trailer will also be parked on Zagreb's Tuđmanac. A burger with hemp, a wrap with prosciutto and various variations of waffles are just a part of the offer that will make all dog owners smell good during the two days of the festival, and even more so for those for whom all this is organized – man's best friends.
