A well-known model and DJ took over the management of the iconic Vidikovac

After more than 50 years, the most beautiful terrace in the city opened

Everyone who is looking for the perfect place to relax with good music and a cold drink this summer should definitely visit Zagreb's largest park. Right in the center of Maksimir, at the point where all its footpaths cross, is the beautiful Vidikovac Cafe, once known as Vidikovac Kiosk.

More than 180 years old and 17 meters high, Vidikovac is a witness to many significant events in Zagreb's history. He had his star moment in the legendary film Kreša Golik "Tko pjeva zlo ne misli". Legend has it that, 70 years before this romantic comedy with singing, it was on Vidikovac that Ferdinand Budicki treated himself to a beer after his first car ride in Zagreb.

For the first time after more than 50 years, Vidikovac has opened a terrace on the first floor, ideal for enjoying the summer program under the starry Maksimir sky.

Model and DJ Saša Buterin, stage name Sasha Agram, took over management of Vidikovac. After thirty years of working and living in cities like Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Saša returned to his native Zagreb in the role of manager of the area and the Vidikovac project.

He started his music career in Miami, where he first worked as a model and then became a DJ in clubs. After moving to Brazil, he opened the Soho club in Curitiba, which became a leading night spot and established himself as a sought-after DJ on the Brazilian club scene. Saša also developed a program for a club in Florianopolis, known as the Brazilian Ibiza, where he regularly performed in front of the world's jet-set, such as Gisele Bündchen.

"Organizing additional facilities in such a beautiful monument is a wonderful challenge. We started organizing musical evenings of various genres on the upper terrace of Vidikovac. They are currently only held on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm, with a limited number of visitors, so we hope that everyone will find something to their taste. You just need to follow our posts on social networks for the latest information about events," says Saša.

In 2024, the lookout started in rhythm; Samba in the park, Jazz & Soul in the park, Park Grooves and Mjuz Fjuz are just some of the themed parties that have already been held there. But even those of a more "calm" nature were not left short-sleeved and had the opportunity to enjoy the program of concerts in the park, as well as socializing with Julia Quinn, the author of books from the Bridgerton series, as well as socializing on the eve of the Weekend.17.
