Canteen MM is an ideal place to taste wine and enjoy top quality food. Decorated in an industrial style, the open-kitchen within the wine cellar is the perfect backdrop for various events and celebrations of a more intimate character.

One of the largest importers and distributors of world famous food brands in Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia, Selection MM, has expanded its business and opened an ideal place for tasting wine and enjoying top quality foods called Canteen MM.

The MM selection is the result of the work and effort of its founder Mario Mendek, who decided to share his love for food with everyone. The beginning of his adventure begins in the late eighties in Munich, Germany where he worked for years in a 2 Michelin star restaurant. It was then that he first encountered the highest quality foods such as caviar, foie gras, steaks, lamb frenched duck. Although he immediately recognized his love of food, at the time he still did not know how it would turn into a life calling.

The moment he discovers Rungis, the largest market in Paris and the center of French gastronomic heritage, he recognizes the opportunity to merge the Croatian and French food markets. At that time, no one in Croatia was importing the premium food segment, so Marijo Mendek decided to use the opportunity, which resulted in the MM Selection in the early 2000s being a pioneer of gourmet imports in Croatia.

By creating a desire to provide its customers with a place to taste wine and enjoy top quality ingredients, Selection MM takes the next logical step and opens the MM Canteen.

Canteen MM is decorated in an industrial style, open-kitchen within the wine cellar and is an ideal place for various events, private and business.

The unique impression of the MM Canteen is achieved by a combination of iron and dark color in contrast with the warmer shades of gray and brown furniture, and the feeling of warmth of the space is achieved by ambient lighting.

While enjoying the highest quality wine, meat and seafood and delicacies, you will be attracted by bottles of wine of own production Mendek Selection Plavac Mali Barrique located on two-storey shelves that make an art installation (bottles are full of wine) and thus complete the space. Carefully selected details and a superb offer of food and wine make this space ideal for celebrations and various events of a more intimate nature.

Canteen MM is located in Ilica 424 in Zagreb and is a perfect place to try numerous culinary demonstrations and indulge in a moment of pure enjoyment of premium food and wine, and has its own parking lot which is accessed from Ilica from the city, for all who come by car. Working hours are from Monday to Saturday from 1 pm to 11 pm, and on Sundays exclusively for the needs of the event, by appointment.
