The Girl and the Boy will perform at Škrabica in the park in front of Books.

Vanesa Petrac and Ivan Marojević are hiding under that name, a music-loving couple who have been performing together for three years. As a departure from the established songwriting practice in Škrabica, they play dance music imbued with soft melodies: the one on vocals, the one on various electronic toys.

In addition to membership in the improvisational collectives Tu Za To and Nomad Jam, they are the authors of the EP Cura and Dečko Idu na Vikend and numerous singles. Especially for this occasion, they are preparing an electro-acoustic garden set in order to better adapt to the conditions of the concert in front of Books.

In addition to enjoying a great gig, once a month Škrabica gives you the opportunity to do a good deed. Namely, the intrusion is free of charge, and the gig you will hear takes time, effort, enthusiasm, so then it is fair and meaningful for the musicians to get something in return. And that ‘something’ is voluntary monetary contributions that the audience can put in the box. All the money raised goes to the musicians. In addition, Škraba is different in that the performers are listened to in silence. There is no talking, either to each other or to the cell phone, murmurs, whispers, whispers and whispers because it is rude and disparaging to the performers, and nothing would be heard because the gig is acoustic, there is no electricity. So if you put your hand in the fire that there’s no place where you can listen to music in silence and it’s really, really really good to hear, don’t. Škrabica was conceived and initiated by Ante Perković in 2010, and he soon invited Nina Romić and Luka Belanija to join him in leading this program. From the spring of 2012 to the beginning of 2016, the organizational and promotional steering wheel of Škrabica was taken over by Adam Semijalac (Bebè Na Volè), and he was succeeded by Andrija Škare, who steered Škrabica until the end of 2018. From the beginning of 2019 to autumn, our oldest and her favorite music program was led by the young and hard-working Ivana Krešić, and after Ivana moved to Prague, her work was continued by the equally young and no less valuable Valentina Sertić. Now Škrabica is run by our long-term associate, co-host of the former Audio Club @ Books, neighbor, friend and occasional DJ for relatives and friends Matej Ivušić.
