The second Open House Zagreb Festival awaits us from October 18-20<\/strong> .<\/p>

The first edition took place in October 2023 and promoted 35 attractive buildings that physically and symbolically represent some of Zagreb's best architectural examples. It offered new visions of the city and personal views of objects from different eras and different purposes, objects whose secrets were revealed during the Festival. 42 architects, art historians, conservators, librarians, anthropologists, archivists, designers, curators, two academics and urban sociologists were involved in the festival management, while 30 volunteers, mostly students, participated in the realization of the program.<\/p>

Continuing the exceptional success of the first FESTIVAL OPEN HOUSE ZAGREB, the second festival season is designed around several thematic units. "Revitalization of architectural heritage" "Viktor Kova\u010di\u0107" and "Urban entities".<\/p> More details about the first unit

The first unit was imposed by the real situation of the reconstruction of many Zagreb public and personal spaces, institutions and private buildings damaged during the two earthquakes that devastated the city in 2020. The topic entitled "Revitalization of architectural heritage" will introduce citizens to the specific process of restoration of most heritage buildings and, in some cases, also to restorations that are not related to the earthquake.<\/p>

The theme "Viktor Kova\u010di\u0107" is connected with two important anniversaries: 150 years since the birth and 100 years since the death of the great Croatian architect who was declared the father of modern Croatian architecture.<\/p>
