The historic battle that "showed its fists" to the lord 451 years ago is celebrating its 16th anniversary this year, where thousands of visitors will once again have the opportunity to see the revived Peasants' Rebellion - the Battle of Stubica between the serfs, led by Matija Gupca, against the infamous Franjo Tahi and his army . A unique and special battle for the people, it has been reconstructed by the Society of the Knights of the Golden Chalice, and together with the TZ of the Gup\u010d region, the City of Donja Stubica and partners, is preparing the spectacle that we all expect together.<\/p>
The Battle of Battles, a realistic representation of the greatest struggle of Croatian peasants for justice, will take place on February 10, 2024 at 2 p.m.<\/strong> on the battlefield, where several hundred extras and participants will show the audience a reconstruction of the Peasants' Revolt from long ago in 1573, which marked Croatian past. Therefore, it is not surprising that this event is visited by 20,000 visitors from all over Croatia and neighboring countries.<\/p> In addition to the spectacular "Battle of Stubica", visitors can expect a medieval fair, a rich gastronomic offer and a musical program.
