On the occasion of the 164th anniversary of the birth of the national great and genius Nikola Tesla and the 7th day of Nikola Tesla - the day of science, technology and innovation, the association Nikola Tesla - genius for the future<\/a> from 9 to 11 July 2020 in Zagreb organizes a three-day event Tesla & friends<\/a> . <\/p> First day Tesla & friends: exhibition and round table in the Technical Museum Nikola Tesla \/ fountain on the University meadow in the person of Nikola Tesla

This year's 11th edition of the Tesla & friends event will begin with a round table entitled "Innovation - from idea to realization" at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum,<\/a> which will be attended by the winners of the annual Nikola Tesla Award - Genius for the Future, young innovators Jan Pr\u0161le, Marjana Mi\u0161i\u0107, Nives Knezovi\u0107 and Tino Herljevic. The curator of the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum Renato Filipin, the dean of the Faculty of Textile Technology at the University of Zagreb, prof. dr. sc. Gordana Pavlovi\u0107 and the director of the 1st Tesla Technical School Tihomir Mati\u010devi\u0107. After the round table, the exhibition "30 geniuses" will be opened, which will present innovative projects of the winners of the annual Nikola Tesla Award - genius for the future in the past ten years. <\/p>

In the evening, the fountains on the University Meadow<\/a> in Zagreb will light up in the image of Nikola Tesla. <\/p>

\"University<\/a> <\/p> Second day Tesla & friends: art program at the monument to Nikola Tesla \/ festive program at the Hotel Esplanade

On the day of Tesla's birth, July 10, at 10 a.m., a special program of laying flowers at the monument to Nikola Tesla in Zagreb will begin. In the artistic part of the program, the young musician Lav Novosel will perform the songs "Imagine" and "About a Youth" and Nikolina Prka\u010din and Zvonko Novosel who will perform recitals "From Goethe's Faust" and "Me\u0161trovi\u0107's Memory of Tesla". Occasional speeches will be given by the President of the Association Nikola Tesla - Genius for the Future Dragica Mihajlovi\u0107, Director of the Ru\u0111er Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 Institute, Ph.D. David Matthew Smith and a representative of the City of Zagreb. An interesting program will end with the performance "Tesla's doves" in which 3 doves will carry messages sent by representatives of the City of Zagreb, the Ru\u0111er Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 Institute and the Nikola Tesla-Genius for the Future Association. The message that first arrives at the destination will be read as part of the festive program at the Hotel Esplanade. <\/p>

David Matthew Smith, Vice-Rector for Innovation, Technology Transfer and Communication, University of Zagreb prof. dr. sc. Miljenko \u0160impraga and representatives of the City of Zagreb, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia and the President of the Croatian Parliament.
