In <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"1839\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1839\">1839<\/a> . it was arranged in the English landscape style by Bishop <a title=\"Juraj Haulik\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Juraj_Haulik\">Juraj Haulik<\/a> . The architectural structures are mostly the work of the builder <a title=\"Franjo Sch\u00fccht\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Franjo_Sch%C3%BCcht\">Franjo Sch\u00fccht<\/a> . In the park of 316 <a title=\"Hectare\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hektar\">hectares,<\/a> the <a title=\"Flora (plants)\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flora_(biljke)\">flora<\/a> and <a title=\"Fauna\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fauna\">fauna of<\/a> lowland forests have been preserved, and there are also five lakes (both natural and artificial). <\/p>\n<p> At the southern end of the park-forest is the <a title=\"Zagreb Zoo\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zoolo%C5%A1ki_vrt_grada_Zagreba\">Zagreb Zoo<\/a> . <\/p>\n<p> The name of the park is also borne by the <a title=\"Maksimir\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Maksimir\">city district,<\/a> which includes the territory of nearby city settlements, and <a title=\"Maksimir Stadium\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stadion_Maksimir\">the GNK Dinamo stadium<\/a> . <\/p>\n<p> In Maksimir Park grows a <a title=\"Lucerne oak\" href=\"https:\/\/hr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hrast_lu%C5%BEnjak\">pedunculate oak<\/a> known as &quot;Dedek&quot;, about 600 years old.
