The Bonebomb at KCM

The band Bonebomb is a proven line-up of experienced musicians gathered by bassist Nikola Jerković, with whom they are regular participants in improvisation sessions, the best instrumentalists who use the "egg brain" in many famous bands and projects in which they participate. But, as their third album "Fun (k) house Session" shows, here they are deprived of rigid disciplines of pop and rock formats, but as instrumentalists with taste and knowledge they do not overdo it with speed solos, but passionately and moderately give the soul the will to pass. the territory of black music from the 1970s onwards which they apparently adore. So there is justice when we say that “Fun (k) house Session” with its mix of funk and electronics at this time of dramatic events in the USA is like the authentic sound of American demonstrations in the middle of Croatia, and you just wait for Detective Shaft to appear around the corner and bring justice to African American population under pressure.

This kind of instrumental music would work great in a movie or TV series on Netflix or HBO, for example, and especially in documentaries about the history of African American music that obviously feeds drummers Berko Muratovic and Frano Putica, keyboardists Jurica Leikauff and Luka Zuzic (and on trombone) , guitarists Davor Doležal and Coco Mosquito, and wind section (Mario Bočić on saxophone and Zvonimir Bajević on trumpet), with Ljubo Kraljević on electronic treatments. The new album was included in the humanitarian campaign of the association of women suffering from and treated for cancer "We are not alone", for the needs of the taxi-transport project for chemotherapy. In fact, the paradox is that they got involved, prone to genre music and playing without social connotations, and not (and) some engaged local rockers whose mouths are full of politics, nature and society. But after fashion designers Zoran Aragović and Juraj Zigman, the action was joined by graffiti artist Slaven Kosanović Lunar, who designed a collection of men's and women's T-shirts with the message "You Are Not Alone" and The Bonebomb. The song "You Are Not Alone" is on the album "Fun (k) house Session", and the buyers of CDs and T-shirts directly support the project of transporting women to the chemotherapy association Nismo same. " – Hrvoje Horvat, Vecernji list

"As the name of the album suggests, it is a session of top musicians. They were brought together by bassist Nikola Jerković to play the songs he composed for The BoneBomb with a select team – and he visibly enjoyed it. And the selected team consists of: Berko Muratović and Frano Putica on drums, Jurica Leikauff on Hammond organ and Moog keyboards, Luka Žužić on trombone, Mario Bočić on saxophone, Zvonimir Bajević on trumpet and Davor Doležal and Coco Mosquito and Gordan Muratović on guitars. The result is a great feel good funky groove album with eight phenomenal instrumentals. At the same time, Jerković left it to almost every one of the listed musicians to show how great he swims in funky waters, leading them with his great bass played in the song "In The Club". It is in this funky bass section that the adoration of old school funk is emphasized. However, this great album was spiced with gold powder by the brass section and thus perfectly complemented all eight instrumentals. As before in his work, The BoneBomb uses samples to enrich the compositions and modernize the specific funk sound of the 70s. It is a real pity that musicians do not gather more often under such a great musical guidance, so that they can give themselves a break and indulge in an exciting session. Great! ” – Dubravko Jagatic, Nacional
