“MAMMA MIA”: FROM THE NERVANA DEROUT VAN TO THE PRINCE EDWARD THEATER IN LONDON AND THE COMEDY THEATER AT THE ZAGREB CHAPTER

What is the relationship between one of the biggest rock bands in history, alternative and grunge rock bands and the musical Mamma Mia? And could Nirvana have anything to do with one or more ABBA hits? So with a musical based on a whole series of evergreen hits by a Swedish group that was catapulted launched in 1974 at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Waterloo? In just a few years, ABBA has produced so many perfect pop songs that it has been compared to the Beatles in that art. Excessively? Oh, no! ABBA – a perfect production of perfect pop songs, a hit squad, became the inspiration for a “Nirvana” whose poor members at the beginning of their careers in their dilapidated van with a dinner of half a can of sardines listened to The Stooges and ABBU. The consequences of this are very clear and visible in the rich opus of songs “Nirvana”, many of which had the classic art of structuring perfect pop songs, only they were of course Nirvana-Rock.

“Nirvana” was from the northwestern United States from Seattle, its unpleasant and unpleasant surroundings in every respect, especially the climate. On the other side of the world and another kind of inspiration from ABBA had Catherine Johnson. She loved listening to ABBA like millions of Britons, but for her it was also a creative, not just passive enjoyment of the hits of the glittering Swedish quartet.

Mudra Catherine didn’t think much and presented her idea in the beginning to the authors of all ABBA songs Bennyi Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus who were immediately involved in the whole project. Obviously not because of the money because they had already earned enough, but because of the quality of the project . One of the beautiful half of the quartet Anni-Frid Lynstadt was so enthusiastic about the project in its infancy that she participated in the launch of the project with her own finances and later when Mamma Mia became a world hit she often attended premieres in some countries with great pride and joy. . It all started for the musical MAMMA MIA at the legendary and eternal musical London’s West End at the Prince Edward Theater at the gala premiere and world premiere of 6 …
