Kazan is a six-member world music band from Zagreb. Formed in 2012, the band consists of fans of traditional music with diverse musical preferences which together reflect Kazan’s eclectic, vivid and intense sound. Kazan chooses songs from the Western Balkans to which they add a modern sound that is interesting and appealing to today's ear.

The debut album "Ružo" was released in October 2018, with an excellent reception both in Croatia and abroad. Kazan has performed throughout Croatia, and after the release of the album also in Serbia (Etnofest, Subotica), Slovenia and Hungary (Couch Festival, Budapest Ritmo Showcase). There have been several changes in the band members over the years. Currently, Kazan consists of Dunja Bahtijarević (vocals), Tatjana Bijelić (flute), Lucija Stanojević (violin), Goran Farkaš (mandolin, tambourine), Sebastian Jurić (bass guitar), Marko Šturman (percussion).

Kazan is a welcome guest of Močvara and the Vrelo zvuka program, and this is their first Zagreb concert in a new line-up. After recently having great performances in Šibenik and Makarska, it's time for the Zagreb audience to be convinced that the change in membership has brought new energy to Kazan.

Vrelo zvuka is Močvara's project dedicated to the promotion of ethno / world music / traditional music, which takes place under the artistic direction of Emir Fulurija.
