DEYAN CLEMENT: THE ACTION OF disAPPE ARING

The exhibition of the Serbian artist of the younger generation, whose works have been exhibited and performed at international exhibitions and festivals, and which operates under the artistic name Deyan Clement, is characterized by simple, refined and direct poetics. The three video works communicate with a symbolic gesture and movement, reduced to an essence in which hopelessness and a kind of Sisyphean futility are broken. – Josipa Bubaš

Deyan Clement (1989, Belgrade) was educated at the Marina Abramović Institute and the Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade, where he graduated from the Department of Painting. He has been actively exhibiting since 2008. He most often works in the field of video performance. He has won several awards for his work and is part of numerous private collections around the world.
