Live exhibition: Car is a goal in Lauba

The latest project of our dear friend and guest Stanislav Habjan, brings together the latest works as well as those in progress or just started. a kind of authorial here and now, which we will present on Friday, October 16, 2020, starting at 7 p.m. The presentation begins with the opening of the exhibition and the promotion of the book PostApoc. dialogue, books of prose records created in collaboration with Lauba and published daily during the two spring lockdown months on its website. Stanislav will spend a week in the exhibition space Laube – House for People and Art (from 16 to 22 October 2020, from 19 to 22 hours), and as his work includes literature, fine arts, design, performance and music lately.

The exhibition will also be the scenography of various events where we will present a book, performances of new songs by the group Car is naked, a designer showcase of new products, a panel discussion and performance related to the island project Scales to the Sun and filming a documentary about the project in Lauba.

I see it all as one workshop in a perfect space, says the author, spacious and relaxed enough that everyone can move freely and choose their place to read, listen or participate in any way. Lauba is familiar and close to me, it is the place of my first Metaphor Shop and I have no doubt at all that a lot of beautiful things will happen.

October 20th / Rocks to the Sun

Evening of Stara Novalja – talk about the project Scale to the Sun and the experiences of cooperation between artists and people from a small town. The screening includes a half-hour documentary Scale to the Sun, published by HTV.

October 21st / Author and audience

Lauba as the studio of an artist in his workplace. The author is available to visitors; signs new editions and products, makes small graffiti, numbers and packs them, takes care of music, wine.

An exclusive performance of the songs Prosidba and Zagubljeni pas is very possible.

October 22nd / Time and us, PostApoc dialogues

Presentation of the book of prose by Stanislav Habjan published by Lauba. The binding of the dialogues published on the Laube website during April and May is the symbolic crown of the collaboration between the Gallery and the authors, as well as the exhibition itself.
