JAZZ ON TOP: B'S FUNSTALLATION

Due to the announcement of bad weather this weekend, the concert of the group B's FUNstallation as part of the Jazz cycle at the Top will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 7 pm in the sculpture park of the Richter Collection.

Under the name B's FUNstallation (abbreviation of Baja's) hides six musicians of the middle jazz generation gathered by trumpet player Zvonimir Bajević in the spring of 2012. The joint project, in which creative realization is fully open and encouraged by each of its wheels, naturally grew on they also make music together as friends within the HGM Jazz Orchestra Zagreb, and later in a joint professional path in the HRT Jazz Orchestra, of which they were or are permanent members.

Due to life and professional circumstances and musical maturation ("always keep the channel open"), the idea of gathering a smaller, flexible performing group focused on researching the musical expression of its members seemed a natural sequence of things. Members of the group participate in numerous projects collaborating with a number of musicians including Elvis Stanić Group, Jazz Me Do Quintet, Satellite Quartet, Tamara Obrovac Transhistria Ensemble, HRT Jazz Orchestra, HGM Jazz Orchestra Zagreb, The Problems, Lasse Lindgren Big Constellation, The Bonebomb, Big band RTV Slovenia and others.

Today, members of B's FUNstallation are Mario Bočić, tenor saxophone, Zvonimir Bajević, trumpet, wing, Davor Doležal, guitar, Luka Žužić, keyboards, trombone, Goran Rukavina, double bass, electric bass guitar and Borko Rupena, drums.

The Jazz na Vrh project is specially designed for the Richter Collection space and is part of a program that connects music and exhibition activities. Therefore, we invite you to spend Sunday afternoons in the Richter Collection and before the concert at 5 pm, with an expert guidance, visit the apartment of the architect and artist Vjenceslav Richter.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at a price of HRK 30 at the MSU box office or on the day of the concert at the Richter Collection at a price of HRK 40. Due to the prescribed epidemiological measures, the number of tickets is limited to 60 visitors.
