NOTEBOOK ROBIJA K. duration: 80 min

As part of Kerempuh's initiative – the engagement and affirmation of the younger generation of directors – the promising director Marina Pejnović set "Robija K's Notebook". Viktor Ivančić, a renowned journalist and publicist, best known as one of the founders of the cult satirical-political weekly Feral Tribune.

An equally famous and satirical column was written in the form of a diary of the Split boy Robi K., the author of an alter ego and a ruthless witness to countless absurdities of Croatian everyday life, and this time she will realize her ironic departure and astonishing children's vision on the stage.

The adaptation of the feuilleton to the theatrical medium dissolved a ludic mosaic of a shifted and grotesque universe with unstable yet recognizable characters, messy dialect and local speech, as well as many current socio-political themes that become bitterly funny when turned into absurd situations.

The play "Robbie K.'s Notebook" it is a theatrical play that never completely enters the theatrical illusion, not allowing viewers to forget the reality that strikes them in the head – from nationalism and nationalist mythomania, patriotic upbringing in the atmosphere of a wave of emigration from Croatia, questionable state-building and Catholic shrines, oppressed and oppressors, “ours” and “theirs” all the way to the sediments of the past, wars and various -isms. Robi K., as an observer, a witness to turbulent times and the inevitable little teaser, opens the door to a witty and cruel world that is as much his as it is ours.
